One of the biggest security threats facing organisations is ransomware attacks, a system-locking, information-stealing attack that hackers carry out to amass millions of dollars, which in recent years has moved away from being a consumer-driven attack and is focusing more on organisations of all types. The ransomware attack was the work of REvil, the same people behind the attack on foreign exchange company Travelex last year.
