Google Chrome version 90 has arrived with an interesting Windows 10 security feature under its arm called Hardware-enforced Stack Protection.

A measure to protect memory from attackers, specifically the memory stack.

This mitigation technology aims to make it more difficult for attackers to exploit security flaws by protecting part of the memory by means of what are known as shadow stacks. This is a large amount of memory that is only used for this purpose and is isolated from the conventional amount and protected against tampering.
