3CX perpetual licenses become EOL starting with version 20.
The new version of 3CX will no longer be sold on a perpetual license basis. In preparation for this, we will no longer sell maintenance – effective from today 26 July 2023. As you may recall, maintenance was tied to a perpetual license. Over time, however, it has become clear that this is a very old-fashioned way of selling products. Now that changes – in the IT and security environment are so rapid – maintenance and perpetual licenses are no longer relevant in the world we live in!
Can I remain in perpetuowpml_nbsp V18 mode until my maintenance expires?
3CX version 20 will no longer support perpetual keys. If you want to remain in v18, in perpetual mode, until your maintenance expires this is possible. Upon expiration – cloud services will be disabled. To make use of this option you will have to contact CSR two months before the expiration of your license.
However, it is important to note that this option is not reversible. You will have to purchase a new key and reinstall and create a new FQDN and configuration if you change your mind.
Do I Have to Do Anything?
No, your perpetual key will be converted to an annual subscription license 2 months before its expiration date. ONLY for those who wish to continue with the perpetual license, they will have to send us an email to [email protected] to deal with this issue properly, with due notice.
