Last year, cybercriminals tried to take advantage of the unprecedented socio-economic, business and political challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Cyber-attacks against the healthcare, manufacturing and energy sectors doubled. Attacks targeted organisations that could not afford to shut down because of the risk of disrupting medical efforts or supply chains. In fact, manufacturing and energy were the most targeted sectors in 2020, behind only the financial and insurance sectors.
