The 85th version of its Google Chrome browser (for multiple operating systems: Windows, Linux, Mac, Chrome OS and Android), and comes loaded with new features, both in terms of functionality and performance.

In addition, the Android version will go 64-bit, which will break its compatibility with older devices (few of them will be in use anymore) but will allow it to better manage RAM on high-end devices.

In addition to all that has been said, Google Chrome 85 arrives with other small but useful new features under its arm:
• The fast internal PDFs reader will allow us to fill in forms and download both the edited version as the original.
• Native decoding (no codecs needed) of the new AVIF image format.
• Warning notice when downloading compressed files (zip, rar, iso…), similar to the one currently displayed when downloading executables.
• Possibility to create shortcuts to progressive web applications.
