Microsoft called you unsolicited? 1-We received a call directly on our phone. When you answer it, the scammers identify themselves, in English or Spanish, as a technical support service. 2- You get an error in your web browser, an apparent system warning or another pop-up window.

What are the consequences?
1- All our stored information is exposed. 2- Associated services may also be affected. 3- The integrity of the computer itself may be damaged. 4- Economic damage. If we provide paid information.

How can we know that it is a scam? It would be enough to know that Microsoft will not contact us, unless we have expressly asked them to do so.

What to do if we have followed the instructions of the supposed technical service? 1- First of all, disconnect the affected computer from the network. This will ensure that remote access is cut off. 2- We must uninstall any programme that we have installed as instructed by the supposed technicians. 3- Scan the affected computer with a complete antivirus tool to eliminate any possible malware. 4- Change the passwords stored on the computer. 5- In the event that a payment has been made, we will consider the option of cancelling the card used to make the payment. 6- Finally, we will report the fraud to the State Security Forces and Bodies to try to put a stop to this type of fraud.
