If you’re one of those who dreads upgrading Windows 10 because for quite a few minutes you lose access to your computer while the update is downloading and installing, you’ll be pleased to know that Microsoft has clarified that the next major Windows 10 update to be released in the final quarter of the year will be “remarkably fast” – but only if you meet one requirement.

For those PCs already upgraded to the 2004 version of the operating system, which is the one just released in May.

The Americans say they plan to release this feature update through an enablement package that would simply change the build number and activate new features that are already hidden in the 2004 version through recent monthly patches.

While the May 2020 update of Windows 10 is not yet present on all computers that still present certain incompatibilities, it is true that the next major update is already very close to be deployed, which will happen during the last quarter of the year and that while it will not bring so many new features, it will be characterized to offer a new design in the start menu and to definitively change to the new Edge browser.
