If you receive an email from the Tax Agency, be careful because it could be someone trying to steal your bank details. According to the OSI (Office of Internet Security), this phishing campaign encourages the victim to click on a link in the email to redirect the victim to a fraudulent website.

Specifically, the email arrives in the name of Agencia Tributaria, but the email has nothing to do with this entity, but is: [email protected]. This should make you suspicious.

On the website, they ask for personal and credit card information using forms. Supposedly, you enter your bank information and the Tax Agency refunds you the income tax indicated in the email. But in reality, this information can be used to steal your money.
