Microsoft is working to address an issue that many users had reported: when they woke up in the morning, after overnight hours or after leaving the device unused for several hours (going to sleep), they would find that their desktop application windows had unexpectedly rearranged themselves.

This was happening on both Windows laptops and desktops connected to external monitors via a DisplayPort connector. Many users were even finding that, after several hours without using their computers, application windows had unexpectedly moved to a different location on the monitor and were sometimes grouped together on a single screen.
